So I'd like to discuss for a moment, Rachel Zoe. She gets blasted from all sides, but I love her. She is a style goddess and let's face it, she is a legitimate expert on style and fashion in an arena where many, many people (myself included) pretend they are hot shit. Rachel is hot shit. I respect her flamboyance when it comes to her personal style. I enjoy her giant, chunky jewelry, the sequined gowns and every single one of her furs has convinced me that I need some fur of my own.... faux of course. I am also comforted that even she has that same uncontrollable shopping/spending money disease I also am plagued with. Look, you can say what you like about her questionable age, her weight, or whatever it is about her that many people seem to dislike, but I have great respect for this woman and look up to her dearly. She loves fashion and has contributed to having fashion regarded as artistic expression, as a form of creativity, as real art. Not only that, but Rachel has made this into a living and a successful living at that. ANYWAYS.... her show, "The Rachel Zoe Project" on Bravo debuts the second season tonight and I know I am not the only one who is excited for it.
At last it has come. My seasonal job has ended and now I am free of that horrid uniform. Hallelujah! Though it is still bittersweet for me, I am at least free to wear whatever short length I choose. Alas, summer is almost over so I'm scrambling to get good use out of all my summer collections before the Chicago chill comes and stays. Yes, summer is drying up already and the temperatures have been mildly declining, but my mystical senses perceive a nice long Indian Summer to look forward to. Today I finally got to bust out my tailored leather shorts and literally giggled when I successfully tucked it over an American Apparel peach tee. Leather and peach, perhaps the best summer combination ever.
Alexander Wang and Chloe Sevigny are quite possibly two of my greatest loves and inspirations when it comes to style. Bless their hearts for their separate contributions to Opening Ceremony. Alexander Wang has impeccable taste and I am also grooving on Chloe's unisex designs. Those men tweed pants above I had to include because I've been endlessly searching for a pair of equestrian-esque patched pants/denim. As that search continues, a separate one for my personal interpretation of a fall/winter motorcycle boot has now delightfully ended with these Alexander Wang ones.
Mhmmk. I have quite the bizarre taste in television programs and sharing my televised eccentricities makes me feel better that I watch so much of it. Yeah so every time Dog the Bounty Hunter comes on I squeal like a pig and so you can imagine my reaction when I found this.... like wtf...seriously....in Italian Vogue???!!! I just had to share... Honestly, Leland Chapman looks pretty darn good with the hair down from the weird horse braided, side-shaved thing he sports on the show.
